We are sad to announce that on June 25, 2025, at the age of 82, Mary Ann Roman Gabriel of New Iberia, Louisiana passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Mary may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the echoes of her kindness, the warmth of her embrace, and the light of her enduring love.
She was predeceased by: her husband Dudley Gabriel, Jr.; her parents, Boston Roman and Amy Antoine Roman; her son Michael Demouchet; and her siblings, Junius Roman, Edward Roman, Richard Roman, Patricia Roman and Thelma Roman.
She is survived by: her children, Lawrence Demouchet (Janice) of New Iberia, LA and Suzanne Jones (Vince) of New Iberia, LA; and her adoptive daughter JoAnn Gabriel of New Iberia, LA. She is also survived by ten grandchildren, twenty-three great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 5th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Fletcher Funeral Home of New Iberia (609 W Admiral Doyle Dr, New Iberia, LA 70560). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 5th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
