With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Odelia Doucet Hills of New Iberia, Louisiana, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 19, 2025 at the age of 90. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Odelia Doucet Hills to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her husband Frederick Hills, Sr.; her parents, Jules Doucet and Florence Antoine Doucet; her children, Michael Hills, Sr., Sherry Hills Merrrick, Linda Hills Daye and Rosalene Hills; her grandson Jacoby Hills; and her siblings, Lee Doucet, Raymond Doffoney, Ned Doffoney, Sr., Rafe Doffoney, Sr., Aaron Wiltz, Rachel D. Alexander, Ida D. Norman and Irma D. Trotter.
She is survived by: her son Frederick Hills, Jr. (Morningdove) of New Iberia, LA. She is also survived by twelve grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, May 31st 2025 from 8:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Mount Carmel Baptist Church - Patoutville (9904 Eighty Arpent Rd, Jeanerette, LA 70544). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, May 31st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
