It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sheila Ann Willis Mitchell of New Iberia, Louisiana, who passed away on May 17, 2025, at the age of 67, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Antoine Mitchell, Sr.; and her parents, Earl Willis and Martha Jenkins Willis. She is survived by: her children, Lloyd Willis (Lizzie) of New Iberia, LA, Derrick Mitchell of New Iberia, LA, Antione Mitchell, Jr. of Jeanerette, LA, Demetrius Willis of New Orleans, LA, James Jones (Chicken) of New Iberia, LA and Tiffany Marks of New Iberia, LA; and her granddaughter Tiana Benjamin of New Iberia, LA. She is also survived by thirty grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, May 24th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Fletcher Funeral Home of New Iberia (609 W Admiral Doyle Dr, New Iberia, LA 70560). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, May 24th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
