He was predeceased by: his parents, Willis Bertand Porter, Sr. and Gertrude Jackson Porter; and his siblings, Joseph Porter, Harold Porter, Charles Porter and Shirley Porter.
He is survived by: his wife Geraldine Marie Dominique Porter of New Iberia, LA; his sisters-in-law, Mary Abraham, Janice Jackson of Oakland, CA and Elsie Dominique of Almeta, CA; his goddaughter Yvette Sonya Ann Dominique of River Ridge, LA; and his caregiver Tasha. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, May 28th 2025 from 7:30 AM to 9:45 AM at the Saint Katherine Drexel Family Life Center (175 Ambassador W Lemell Dr, New Iberia, LA 70560). A rosary was held on Wednesday, May 28th 2025 at 9:00 AM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Wednesday, May 28th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
