He was predeceased by: his wife Lula Isaac Gibson; his parents, Mervin Gibson and Agnes Senegal; and his siblings, Laversia Landry and Mervin Gibson.
He is survived by: his sons, David Wayne Gibson Sr. (Bridget) of Zachary, LA and Shannon Terrell Gibson (Renee) of Plano, TX; and his siblings, Mary Ballard of Lake Charles, LA, Linda Mouton of Ridge, LA and Anthony Senegal of Ridge, LA.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 10th 2025 from 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Kinchen Funeral Home (1011 N St Antoine St, Lafayette, LA 70501). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 10th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Our Mother of Mercy Catholic Church (693 N Main St, Church Point, LA 70525).
