She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry Joseph James, Sr. and Lydia Ledet James; her brother Gregory James; her grandparents, Lucien, Elizabeth Alexander James, Archibald "Biade" Ledet and Maggie Clement Ledet; her nephews, Bennie Marks and Codie James; and her brother-in-law Avery Knatt.
She is survived by: her siblings, Henry James, Jr. (Gwendolyn) of Edgewood, MD, Carroll James, Sr. (Effie) of New Iberia, LA, Raymond James (Norma) of St. Martinville, LA and Mary "Liz" Knatt of Loreauville, LA; her uncle Melton James Sr. (Rita) of Lafayette, LA; and her aunts, Stella Conner of New Iberia, LA, Terrie Francis and Carline Mitchell of St. Martinville, LA. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
