She was predeceased by: her parents, William Henry Wade of Montserrat and Mary Ann Elizabeth Wade (Farrell) of Montserrat; her son Jeffrey Lawrence Wade; her husband Jocelyn Stewart; and her granddaughter Krista Young.

She is survived by: her stepdaughters, Karen Young (Stewart) and Sandra Stewart-Baker (Terry Baker); her grandchildren, Ronnelle DaRosa, James Bynum, Robyn Carter (Charles) and Derek Springer (Paula); her great grandchildren, Naia, DJ Springer, Quincy, Kendall Carter and Raven DaRosa; and her goddaughter Kimberly Harris Lane.
