She is survived by: her children, Le'Kecia Powell-Watkins of Boston, Massachusetts, Weldon Powell Jr. of Boston, Massachusetts and Eric Powell of Boston, Massachusetts; and her brothers, Garry Mercer of Marshall and Mack E. Mullen of New Bern. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, family members, and friends.
Viewing will be held on Wednesday, October 7th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM and on Saturday, October 24th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 24th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Pilgrim Journey African Methodist Episcopal Zion Church (310 Tulls Creek Rd, Moyock, NC 27958).
