With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Birute Sakenis (Boston, Massachusetts), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on March 9, 2025 at the age of 92. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Juozas and Julija (Aliukonis); and her sisters, Aldona Vilutis, Laima Kontautas and Angela.

She is survived by: her goddaughter Lisa Maleckas; her cousin Ann Marie McDermott (Yelmokas); her sibling's children, Algis Vilutis, Audrius Kontautas (Debbie) and Lydia; and her friend Maria Ensins.
