It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Colbra Arika Loretha Brown-Handy (Boston, Massachusetts), who passed away on April 17, 2024, at the age of 61, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, Selven A. Brown II and Lois Dianne Lee; her stepparents, Minnie L. Brown and Bobby Lee; and her brothers, Selven A Brown III and Andre I Brown.

She is survived by : her children, Katherine Handy, Elias Handy, Arika Ojikutu (Abayomi), Lila Bethel (Khelmon) of Missouri, Selven Handy and Lois Handy; her grandchildren, Darrell, Khloe, Alexander, Rebecca, Dean, Kyla, Laine, Solomon, Lavinnia, Karter and Makeda; her goddaughter Ebony Brown; and her sisters, Apryl Brown-Haley, Teresha Lee, Tanya Harris and Adrianne Brown. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.

A memorial service was held on Wednesday, April 24th 2024 from 2:30 PM to 4:00 PM at the Floyd A. Williams Funeral Home (490 Columbia Rd, Dorchester, MA 02125).
