He was predeceased by: his brother Eric Mccray Shepard; and his grandparents, Anna Brown, Jacob "Shot" Brown and Alice Sheppard. He is survived by: his parents, Carolina Shepard and Elton Shepard Sr.; his son Derrick Shepard Jr.; his siblings, Carolena Sheppard and Elton Shepard Jr.; his siblings' children, A'myah, Lenaia, Erica, Makayla Shepard, My'Quan of Boston, Mass. and My'Kell Shepard of Boston, Mass.; and his grandfather Hosea Williams of Jason, NC. He is also survived by cousins and friends, aunts & uncles.
