He was predeceased by: his parents, Louise Welch (Lennon) and Edward F. Welch; and his uncles, Al and Frank Lennon. He is survived by: his wife Patricia "Patti" Welch (McLaughlin).
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 16th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the John J. O'Connor & Son Funeral Home (740 Adams St, Dorchester, MA 02122). A funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, September 17th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the St. Brendan's Church (589 Gallivan Blvd, Boston, MA 02124).
