She was predeceased by: her parents, Violet Brathwaite and Kenneth Brathwaite. She is survived by: her husband Alvin; her sisters, Masalene "Marty" Hinds, Elsie Boyce (Canada) and Minthy Blades (Barbados); her nephews, Jeffrey and Erskine Hinds; her sister Clotildel Dear; her children, Sherrie Holder-Watts (Noel), Annette Holder Griffith, Jacqueline Holmes, Allison Holder and Alvin Holder Jr.; her nephews, Radford Hinds and David Hinds (late Beverlye); her grandchildren, James Holder, Loreen Watts, Amanda Speller (Brandon), Jocelyn Holmes-Raye, Joy Watts, Mevahne Dula (Cassie) and Alvin Holder III; her great grandchildren, Jaala Holder, Briella Trevino, Jacob Holder, Toa Dula, Leilani Dula and Camryn Speller; her brother Kenneth Hinds (UK); and her nieces, Aisha Hinds and Valerie Drakes Holder.
Visitation will be held on Monday, June 2nd 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the Church of the Holy Spirit (535 River St, Mattapan, MA 02136). A funeral service will be held on Monday, June 2nd 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
Food also brought security, as her home was jokingly coined one of the safest places in Boston, due to her generous food donations to the local police stations. Fran began her decline with an Alzheimer's diagnosis in 2010, spending the last 6 years bedridden.
