He is survived by: his daughters, Mary Pendleton (Baltimore, MD), Kianga Rickson of Charlotte, NC, Tianee Eiland of Columbus, OH and Alea Harrison of Charlotte, NC; his grandchildren, Tiara, Rafael, Kelly, Toj, Selah, Chans, Quest, Ayla and Ayris; his siblings, Patricia Lloyd, Paula Martin and Lawrence Rickson; Nina Stevenson.
Visitation was held on Saturday, September 19th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:15 AM at the Davis Funeral Home - Roxbury (89 Walnut Ave, Roxbury, MA 02119). A memorial service was held on Saturday, September 19th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM at the same location.
He served as an art consultant from 1965 to the ICA, the Boston Foundation, New England Conservatory, the Roxbury YMCA, the Roxbury Multi-Service Center, and Summerthing.
