It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Irene Rowell of Boston, Massachusetts, who passed away on September 17, 2025, at the age of 70, leaving to mourn family and friends. As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Irene may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the echoes of her kindness, the warmth of her embrace, and the light of her enduring love.
She was predeceased by: her parents, James Lee Rowell and Catherine Wigfall Rowell. She is survived by: her children, Catherine Rowell and Lanis Rowell. She is also survived by two grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
Visitation will be held on Monday, September 29th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the United House (206 Seaver St, Boston, MA 02121). A funeral service will be held on Monday, September 29th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Monday, September 29th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Fair View Cemetery (45 Fairview Ave, Boston, MA 02136).
