He was loved and cherished by many people including : his children, Christopher Nelson and Melissa McCarthy; his sisters, Paula Nelson and Norma Dawson; his nieces and nephews, Michelle Polito and Tiana Nelson; his grandchildren, Zoe and Harper Nelson; and his parents, Rayford Nelson and Frances Nelson (Varassi).
