He is survived by: his mother Maria Jose of Brito; his girlfriend Ines Fonseca; his stepdaughter Kassandra DeBurgo; and his sisters, Maria Jose Brito of Portugal, Maria DeGraca Fidalgo of Boston and Eloisa Centeio of Boston. He is also survived by several brothers and sisters in Cabo Verde, many nieces and nephews.
