She was predeceased by: her parents, Daniel P. Farren and Rose Farren (Devlin); her husband Eugene F. "Buddy" Whelan; her son David Whelan (Maryhelen); and her siblings, Daniel Farren (Mary) and Anna Doris.

She is survived by: her daughter Jacqueline Chaisson (Stephen); her grandchildren, Bridgette Ridlon (Eric), Jeanmarie Davis (Alexander), Michael Chaisson (Emily Conner) and Jack Ridlon; and her sister Grace Campbell (late Dan). She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
