With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Mariana Polena (Boston, Massachusetts), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 21, 2025 at the age of 78. She was predeceased by: her husband Ilia Polena. She is survived by: her children, Gjergji Zena (Aurela), Ilia Polena (Maria), Mondi Polena (Giuliana), Kristi Polena (Elda) and Vasilika Polena (Erion); and her sisters, Zhulieta Luarasi and Rozeta Luarasi.
A wake will be held on Thursday, October 23rd 2025 at 7:00 PM at the Casper Funeral Home (187 Dorchester St, Boston, MA 02127). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 24th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Holy Trinity Albanian Orthodox Church (245 D St, Boston, MA 02127). A reception will be held on Friday, October 24th 2025 at 1:00 PM at 1486 Hancock St, Quincy, MA 02169.
