She was predeceased by: her parents, John G. Downes and Catherine Downes (Gill); and her siblings, John, James and Catherine Downes.
She is survived by: her children, Ellen Ander of Randolph, MA, Bob Mechan of Edemeston, NY, Brian Mechan of Charlestown and Dr. Patti Mechan of Charlestown; and her grandchildren, Erin, Chris, Greg and Ryan. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and wonderful friends and neighbors.
