She was predeceased by: her son Lawrence McDonald; her parents, Bartholomew O'Brien and Louise O'Brien; and her brothers, John and Gerard O'Brien.
She is survived by: her children, Joanne Rahilly (Robert LaRosee) of Bellingham, Karen Bloom (Jeffrey) of Bellingham, Debra Maida (Anthony) of Dedham and Keith McDonald (Nancie) of Wrentham; and her siblings, Daniel O'Brien, Barbara O'Brien, Noreen O'Brien and Nancy Muse (Robert). She is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, August 29th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Robert J. Lawler & Crosby Funeral Home (1803 Centre St, West Roxbury, MA 02132). A prayer was held on Saturday, August 29th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Dedham Council on Aging/Meals on Wheels, 450 Washington Street, Dedham, MA 02026, where Marylou volunteered for many years.
