With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Mother Earlene Eley (Boston, Massachusetts), born in Charleston, South Carolina, who passed away on July 10, 2025 at the age of 82. She was predeceased by: her parents, David Nathan Small and Lilie Mae Smalls; and her sister Ella Mae Nash. She is survived by: her children, Cheryl L. Eley-Spriggs (late Bryan Spriggs) and Kenneth R. Eley (Morgan Frazier-Eley); her grandchildren, Xavier B. Spriggs and Jateja A. C. Spriggs; and her siblings, Doris L. Adeyemi (Isaac Adeyemi), Nathaniel Smalls, David Smalls, Ellis Smalls, Eugene Smalls, Alethea Smalls (Warren K. Dixon) and Timothy Smalls (Kathy Smalls). She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, grandnieces, and grandnephews.

She was looking forward to serving in ministry, but COVID shut down in-person services.
