She was predeceased by: her husband Richard A. Gaines; and her son Morgan A. Gaines. She is survived by: her children, Corwin Gaines and Katonya Gaines; her grandchildren, Derek Khalil and Joliana; her great grandchild Azaria Gaines; and her close friend Lola. She is also survived by her sisters and brothers-in-love, cousins, nieces, nephews, dear friends, and the many "adopted" children.
