Robert D. Fanger Obituary
We are sad to announce that on May 21, 2025, at the age of 92, Robert D. Fanger (Boston, Massachusetts) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Philip Fanger and Esther Fanger. He is survived by: his sister Ruth Fanger Backman; his wife Iris Fanger; his children, Michael Fanger, Linda Sattel and Laurie Fanger Reed; his grandchildren, Rachel Fanger, Jon Fanger, Ember Reed and Nat Reed; and his nieces and nephews, Paula MacDonald, Jill, Charles, Bruce and Garett Backman.
A funeral service was held on Sunday, May 25th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Temple Israel (477 Longwood Ave, Boston, MA 02215). Visitation was held on Monday, May 26th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM, from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM and on Tuesday, May 27th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM.
Memorial donations may be made to Combined Jewish Philanthropies of Boston MA, Dartmouth College, or the Woodwell Climate Research Center in Wood's Hole MA.
