With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Scott M. Bortman formerly of Boston, Massachusetts, born in Bloomfield, Connecticut, who passed away on December 27, 2020 at the age of 56. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Scott M. Bortman to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by: his father Jerry Bortman. He is survived by: his children, Jeffrey and Rachel; his close friend Kristen Heffron (Elaine Bortman); his mother Joan Bortman (Barry Snyder); his sister Charna Kaufman (John); his nieces, Caroline, Isabel and Sophia; and also, Doreen Heffron, Tommy (Nicole Heffron), Cassandra Heffron, Kaylee and Nora.

Due to current Covid-19 restrictions, services will remain private. A celebration to honor Scott's extraordinary life will be held at a later, post-COVID date.

“DR. B became my dr when Dr. Mazer retired.. Thankfully he was also my cardiologist, he saved my life when I had a heart attack, died and came back. I would see him at concerts as I did security. Whenever I would see him we would joke about me being a month older. He always asked about my family as they were also patients of his. He will be deeply missed.
