He is survived by: his siblings, Sharon Olivia Maddox and Nathaniel Maddox, Jr. (Buttons); his sister-in-law Debra Ann Maddox; and his niece Lisa Maddox-Mason. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and cousins.
In 2017 he walked for Alzheimer's in honor of his mother and aunt and as he approached the finish line, he raised his cane in celebration, a simple gesture to show his celebration completing the 3-mile journey he had set out to finish.
