We are sad to announce that on March 28, 2024 we had to say goodbye to Tavis Davis of Boston, Massachusetts, born in Buena Vista, Georgia. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Thomas Davis and Eula Mae Davis (Wilson); his wife Beatrice "Peggy" Jones; his siblings, Ella, Doris, Betty, Annie, Tommie Nell, Gloria, Tom, Mathew and Johnnie; and his grandson Brandon Duarte (Arthelia Grace).

He is survived by : his brother Matthew; his sons, Tavis Carter (Lisa) and Terry Carter; his grandchildren, Victor Tavis Carter, Angel Julian of Canada, Christopher Blackwell, Rashida Jenkins, Ayana Butler, Thomas Bartee, Terrance Carter, Micheal Bonner, Aryelle Carter and Zachary Carter; and his great grandchildren, Kopit Tavis Wahpasiw of Canada, Pharoah Martin and Destiny Bonner. He is also survived by great-grandchildren, many loving nieces, nephews, large extended family, and many cherished friends.

His charitable donations included St. Jude Hospital for Children, whom the children he called "the innocent," and (when he didn't win) he was making donations to the Mass State Lottery Commission!
