He was predeceased by: his daughter Theresa Irwin; his parents, Lillian Irwin (Murphy) and Thomas J. Irwin; his brother John Irwin (Leona); and his siblings-in-law, Nancy (Renato DiZio), Anthony and Anne Di Cesare.
He is survived by: his wife Anne Marie Irwin (DiCesare); his daughters, Marybeth Triant (Nicholas Triant Sr.) of Winthrop and Anne Irwin-Zirpolo (Joseph Zirpolo) of East Boston; his grandchildren, Marie Triant, Nicholas Triant Jr. (Valentina Varlera-Triant), Elizabeth Triant and Thomas Zirpolo; and his cousin Christine Viscay of Saugus. He is also survived by nieces, nephews.
