He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Vernon DeVoe and Arline DeVoe; his grandparents, Harry, Thomasina DeVoe, Joseph and Mary Badgett; his siblings, Calvin DeVoe Sr. and Thomasina Minor-Hill; his wives, Lena Freedman and Linda Nesmith; his brother Fredric DeVoe (Vealer); his nieces and nephews, Clifford DeVoe, Troy DeVoe (Alexa), Harold Minor, Calvin DeVoe (Latisha), Albert Minor (Loretta), Merrick Rembert (Precious), Calvena DeVoe, Thomasina Minor Bogarty (Travis) and Arlene Rembert; and his stepdaughters, Hazel Freeman, Brenda Freeman, Charlotte Freeman and Nicole Freeman. He was also cherished by grandchildren, a host of other relatives and friends.
