With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Vida M. (Flaherty) Shea (Boston, Massachusetts), whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. She was predeceased by: her parents, Peter Flaherty and Mary W. Flaherty (Kennedy); her husband Gerald P. Shea; her child Jerry Shea; her granddaughter Maria Amaral; and her brother Peter Flaherty.
She is survived by: her children, Irene Shea, John Shea (Debbie), Mary Shea-Mulligan (Matt), Dianne Shea, David Shea and Janine Shea-Kerr; her sister Patricia Flaherty; and her close friend Terry Wrenn (David Flaherty).
Visitation was held on Friday, November 7th 2025 from 8:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the Carr Funeral Home (220 Bunker Hill St, Charlestown, MA 02129). A funeral Mass was held on Friday, November 7th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Mary's Church (55 Warren St, Boston, MA 02129).
