He was predeceased by: his parents, Augusta J. Engel and Walter E. Engel. He is survived by: his wife Margrit; his siblings, Joan (Carl) and Chris (Tish); and his children, Peter (Kathleen), Monique (Jerry), Victor (Lori) and Heidi. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
Walter loved to play golf and also liked to spend time doing handy-man chores around the house until Alzheimer's began to kick in.
