Lee Alinsky Obituary
We announce the death of Lee Alinsky of Brookline, Massachusetts, who passed away on October 7, 2026. Lee will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. Lee will be remembered for the impact he had on the lives of those around him. Friends, family, and colleagues will cherish their memories and the time shared. Those who knew Lee will remember moments of kindness, warmth, and presence. Though words cannot fully capture his life, the legacy of connections and experiences remains. Lee’s absence will be deeply felt by those who valued his companionship.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his mother Helene; his children, Shelby Lees (Jonathan), Robert (Rachel) and Jason (Lisa Geller); his grandchildren, Julian, Theo and Anna; and his father Saul Alinsky.
A funeral service was held on Friday, October 9th 2026 at the Ner Tamid Funerals (707 Skokie Blvd, Northbrook, IL 60062). A graveside service was held on Tuesday, October 13th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Zion Gardens Cemetery (3600 N Narragansett Ave, Chicago, IL 60634).
