Freddie R. Thompson Obituary
Freddie R. Thompson passed away peacefully from this life on July 31, 2019, at Franklin Square Hospice Unit, after a lengthy illness.
Freddie was born on February 23, 1929 in Thompsontown to the late William and Hattie Matthews - Thompson, the next to the youngest boy of 11 children.
Freddie received his education in the Dorchester County Public Schools on June 10, 1946. Freddie moved to Baltimore where he was united with Eliza Thompson. They were married for 47 years prior to Eliza death in 2008.
Freddie served in the Armed Forces and worked several jobs. He retired from Verizon 23 years ago. Freddie was a faithful member at Spread the Word where he served as a deacon for several years. He later moved his membership to First Faith Temple Baptist Church.
Freddie was proceeded in death by 6 brothers; Charles, Oliver, Winfield, James, Theodore and George Thompson two sisters; Gertie Mae Thompson and Mary Virgina Stanley. Freddie had a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other relatives and many friends! Freddie was strong willed, and would never give up, even up to the end!
