It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Anna Ruth VanderWeele (Kalamazoo, Michigan), who passed away on July 9, 2024, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Theodore Mejeur and Grace Mejeur (Holthouse); her husband George VanderWeele; her grandson Garret VanderWeele; her siblings, George, John Mejeur (Joanne), Trena Meyers (Jack) and Alareka Block; and her children-in-law, Pam VanderWeele and Dale Flynn.
She is survived by: her children, Gordon VanderWeele, Gerald VanderWeele (Dianne), Connie Lyn Flynn and Gary VanderWeele (Cindy); her brother Ted Mejeur (Jan); and her brother-in-law Wayne Block, Sr.. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Kalamazoo Nature Center, Centrica Care Navigators (formerly Hospice of Southwest Michigan) or the charity of your choice.
