Arlene L. Miller Obituary

A funeral service to honor and celebrate her life will be held at Joldersma & Klein Funeral Home on Friday, April 10, 2026, beginning at 11:00 a.m. The family will receive friends beginning at 10:00 a.m., one hour prior to the service. Interment will be held at Maple Grove Cemetery, Comstock, MI. Memorial Contributions may be made to the charity of one's choice, c/o the funeral home.

Arlene Louise Miller, age 84, passed away on April 7, 2026, surrounded by loved ones. She was born in Kalamazoo, MI on October 19, 1941, the daughter of the late Harold and Merle (Smith) Councell. Arlene was a kind and loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Her spirit filled life brought joy to those around her and she will be missed by all those who loved her. Her greatest blessing in life came from raising her children and making memories with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She worked hard and was employed by Bronson Hospital, Red Roof Inn, Service Master and spent countless days caring for her grandbabies. She was very active and lived life to the fullest. She enjoyed bowling, swimming, waterskiing, fishing, snowmobiling and playing yard games with her grandkids. She was a faithful Baptist whose faith served as the foundation of her life. To know Arlene was to love her and her memory will be cherished. On November 12, 1960, she married the love of her life, Edward Miller who survives. Also surviving are four children, Lorie (Paul) Chmiel, Connie (Steve) Greene, Eddie (Heather) Miller, Brian (Sandra) Miller; grandchildren, Chip, Bailey, Chelsea, Samantha, Craig, Hillary, Jordan, Brooke, Brenden; six great-grandchildren; sisters, Paulett, Rose, Mary; sister-in-law, Katie Councell; extended family and friends. She was also preceded in passing by two brothers, Junior Councell and Richard Councell; sister, Brenda Nutter.
