A memorial visitation will be held Thursday September 25, 2025, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. at the Joldersma & Klein Funeral Home, 917 S. Burdick St., Kalamazoo. Contributions in her memory may be made to SPCA of Southwest Michigan.
Age 86 of Kalamazoo passed away Saturday September 13, 2025, at home. Barbara was born in Kalamazoo on June 29, 1939, the daughter of Andrew and Lena (Britten) Owen. She worked at Borgess Hospital before retiring. She enjoyed collecting dolls and Fenton Art Glass. She was famous for her baking skills, especially for her bread. Surviving are children, Vickie Waterfield, Debbie (Will) Arnold, Lorie Gennara, Jeanne (Wayne) Cody, Dale (Diann Batterbee) Barrons II, Kerry Barrons; seventeen grandchildren; several great grandchildren; sister, Shirley; several nieces and nephews; and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Jackie Morse; granddaughter, Jaculyn Cody; brothers, Andy and Paul; sisters, Sandy and Marlene.
