Bensan Joseph Alfonso Howard, 31, of Kalamazoo Michigan Peacefully passed away surrounded by family on Friday, December 26th, 2025. He was born in Kalamazoo, Michigan on June 8th, 1994, the son of the late, Bensan Alfonso Howard (1972-2010) and, Rebecca Louise Pineau (Taylor).
Bensan enjoyed playing sports like baseball and basketball. He loved spending time with his mother, father, grandparents, sisters, cousins and friends. As a teenager, during the summer, he would sign up for corn shucking to make some extra money for the movies or to buy himself a new flat bill hat.
At 16 he found out that he and his partner Cristy Buys were expecting a child, a daughter that they named Isabella Howard. He prided himself being a father to a beautiful baby girl. At 20 years old, Bensan was then expecting a baby boy, that he and his partner Ali Kholer gave the name of Bensan Howard Jr., passing on his legacy. He loved being a father to these two beautiful children. They were his lifeline. Bensan grew up to be a provider for his children, working in many different occupations his favorite was being a father. He was a dedicated, loving and supportive person.
Bensan is survived by his mother Rebecca Pineau; Step-mother; Michelle Howard (Davis); Grandmothers; Louise Taylor and Chris Riegle; Sisters; Leandra (Ben) Hofmeister, Nivia Howard, Tilia (Austin) Campbell, Lidia Howard, Miria Howard, and Saryna (Kayla) Harper; his daughter Isabella Louise Alfonso Howard, and son Bensan Joseph Alfonso Howard Jr.; loving Fiancée; Brandi Morr and bonus daughter Braylynn Morr; along with many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Bensan was preceded in death by his father, Bensan Alfonso Howard. Grandfather, Clare Anderson, and grandmother, Eleanor Howard.
