She was predeceased by: her parents, Elbert Ruffin Sr. and Laura B. Jamerson; her siblings, Joe Ruffin, Elbert Ruffin Jr. and Jessie Williams; her son Derek L. Ruffin; her grandson Derek L. Ruffin Jr. (Travis Corbin); and her great-nephew Charles Johnson.
She is survived by: her grandson Derion L. Ruffin; her great grandchild Derek L. Ruffin III; her niece Kim Maina; her great-nieces, Kita and Kyra Johnson; her brother Howard Davis; and her close friends, Dorothy Ford, Bishop Timothy S. Ezell and Irma Wells. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins.
