He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Benthin and Esther Benthin (Kiel); and his brother Rick Benthin. He is survived by: his children, Chris Benthin (Erin), Nick Benthin (Taylor) and Jennifer Klocke (Jefferson); his grandchildren, Perrie and Finn Klocke; his brother Keith Benthin; and the mother of his children Sharon Benthin. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews; and countless friends.
A memorial gathering will be held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes Burial & Cremation Services - Westside (3926 S 9th St, Kalamazoo, MI 49009). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
