She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank Ekema and Jennie Ekema (Klok); her sons, Timothy Mark and Mark Duane; and her siblings, Leonard "Bud" Ekema, Irene Fraaza and Geraldine Westrate.
She is survived by: her husband Arthur Kiel; her sons, Steve Kiel (Joyce), Dennis Kiel (Janet), Randy Kiel (Jill) and Gary Kiel (Tammy); her grandchildren, Kevin Kiel (Holly), Amy Balint-Kaat (Dave), Cara Frame (Cole), Angela Mitchell (Adam), Andy Kiel (Julie), Jeff Kiel (Heather), Allison Ericks (Dave), Bethany Lehmer (Scott), Melissa Bierenga (Chris), Kristina Houser (Danny) and Michael Kiel; and her sisters, Norma LaRoy and Dorothy Bergman. She is also survived by her 31 great-grandchildren.
