He was predeceased by: his parents, Jim Miyagawa and Betty Miyagawa. He is survived by: his grandchildren, Cale, Jaelyn, Elle, Oliver, Drake, Chloe, Sam, Vera and Gianni; his wife Marcia Miyagawa; his stepchildren, Jeff Buckham (Stephanie), Kristi Neitzel (Drew), Katie VandeVusse (David) and James Buckham (Diamandi Padilla-Buckham); and his brother Tom Miyagawa (Mary Claire).
Visitation was held on Thursday, August 27th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Betzler Life Story Funeral Homes (6080 Stadium Dr, Kalamazoo, MI 49009). A funeral service was held on Friday, August 28th 2026 at 12:30 PM at the Centerpoint Church (2345 N. 10th St., Kalamazoo, MI 49009).
