He was predeceased by: his parents, Marie Jean Gage and Harold Richard Gage; his mother-in-law Evelyn Bromley; and his pet Teka. He is survived by: his wife Janell Anne Gage; his children, Ryan Gage, Danielle Spannagel (Adam) and Janell; his siblings, Keith Gage (Tammy), Kim Wynne (Mark) and Lynda Marie Hendrix; his grandchildren, Elliott, Olivia, Elena, Jeremiah, Samuel and Caleb; Kyle Mejeur (Whitney) and Courtney Cook (Cody). He is also survived by many nieces and nephew.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the local Humane Society or the Kalamazoo Heart Institute in David's name and honor.
