He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert V. McCarty and Mildred McCarty (Misner); his brothers, Franklin and Robert E. McCarty; and his sister-in-law Shirley McCarty.
He is survived by: his wife Debra K. McCarty (Goodman); his sons, Jeffery McCarty of Luther, MI and Raymond McCarty (Heather) of Paw Paw; his sister-in-law Alice McCarty of Kalamazoo; and his aunt Dorothy Misner of Kalamazoo. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Memorials may be directed to the Alzheimer's Association or to the Michigan Heart Fund.
