In accordance with her wish, cremation will take place and she will be laid to rest privately at Mt. Ever-Rest Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one's choice, c/o the funeral home.

Debra Kay Juarez, age 69, of Kalamazoo, passed away at Bronson Hospital on February 9, 2026. She was born in Kalamazoo on January 7, 1957, the daughter of the late Eleanor Aukerman. Deb was a kind, gentle and loving woman. She had a passion for helping others and her caring nature was always a gift to those around her. She was kind to animals and adored and spoiled her pet cats. She worked hard at Goodwill Industries where she made friends with coworkers. Deb was very close with her cousin Pat and sister Sue, with whom she made many memories. Deb's smile and kindness will be remembered by those who knew her best. She is survived by a son, Chad Juarez; sister, Sue (Arnold) Samson; cousin, Pat (Pete) Dragivevich; several cousins, extended family and friends. She was also preceded in passing by her grandparents and several aunts and uncles.
