He was predeceased by: his parents, Gerard Baas and Bertha Baas (Meyaard); and his siblings, Gerald Baas, Jayne Carpenter and Alberta Skinner.
He is survived by: his wife Janet Baas; his daughters, Linda Broome (Randy), Diane Manning (Paul) and Cindy McKee (Gary); his grandchildren, Bradford Manning, Bryan Manning, Katie Henry, Allison Huffman and Stacey Baas; his great grandchildren, Alice, Coles and Lucy Henry; and his grandchildren, Eddie, Marlowe, Holland Manning, Reya, Zane and Farah Manning. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
