He is survived by: his children, Kimberly Sue Meeter and Donald Ray Boven; his siblings, Beverly Weber, Sandra Nyitray (David) and Jerry Boven; his grandchildren, Brandon Balkema, Craig Balkema, Brett Boven and Ashley Boven; and his significant other Cheryl Prather.
