Edward J. Franklin Obituary

With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Edward J. Franklin of Kalamazoo, Michigan, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on July 21, 2025 at the age of 95. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, James Franklin and Dorothy Franklin (Unruho); his wife Estelle Franklin; his son Eddie Franklin Jr. (Edward); his sister Ella; and his brother-in-law Allen Palmer.

He is survived by: his daughters, Cathleen Franklin and Suzan Schulenberg; his grandchildren, Jessica Stewart (Mike), Christina Schulenberg, Zachary Schulenberg, Isaiah Franklin, Alonzo Franklin, Logan Franklin, Valerie Hirsch (Sam) and Jason Johnson (Carolina); his great grandchildren, Talon, Brinley, Jaxon, Carter, McKenzie, Lucius, Amir, Alaia and Alonzo, Jr.; his great great grandchildren, Holston and Andrew; and his brother Lawrence Franklin (Naomi). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
