With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Edwin Birdsall Sr. (Kalamazoo, Michigan), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 13, 2026 at the age of 98. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though his name may fade from the lips of time, the imprint Edwin leaves upon the hearts of his loved ones remains eternally vivid — a testament to the depth of his spirit and the richness of his legacy.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Delbert Birdsall and Jennifer Birdsall (Grohvert); his wife Frances (Andersen); his daughter Joyce; and his grandson Brian Sweet.
He is survived by: his children, Diana Barnhart (Neil), Edwin Birdsall, Jr. (Laura) and David Birdsall.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Judes Children's Research Hospital.
