He was predeceased by: his wife Lori L. Holmes (Evans); his parents, Elwin Holmes and Helen Holmes (Blanchard); and his brother Donald Holmes. He is survived by: his children, Elwin "Jay" Holmes (Mindy) and Erika Wykstra (Derek); his grandchildren, Anna Cline (K. C.), Elwin "Jet" Holmes, Ben Wykstra, Drew Wykstra and Isaac Wykstra; and his great grandchildren, Obi and Nova Cline.
