Evan P. Kokales Obituary
In accordance with his wish cremation will take place and private family remembrances will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church. Dr. Evan's desire was that memorial contributions be made to Trinity Lutheran Church, Kalamazoo Loaves and Fishes, Community Healing Centers of Kalamazoo, or UofM Medical School, c/o the funeral home.
Dr. Evan P. Kokales, age 84, passed away on June 24, 2026. He was born in Ann Arbor, MI on July 19, 1941. On May 29, 1965, he married the love of his life Sharon Ann (Sodt) Kokales, who survives. He is also survived by three children, Paul (Teresa) Kokales, Therron (Mandy) Kokales, and Jeremy Kokales; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; extended family and friends. He was preceded in passing by a daughter, Vicky Phillips. He earned his Doctor of Medicine from UofM Medical School in 1965. Dr. Evan had a strong faith and was a loyal member of Trinity Lutheran Church. He was a kind, humble and generous man who made a difference in the world around him, and he will be missed by all who loved him.
